Bridgewater's favorite pharmacy.

Bridgewater Guardian Pharmacy is conveniently located in the Medical Arts Building in Bridgewater, NS – right beside the hospital. We are a locally owned and operated community pharmacy that offers prescription and over-the-counter medications. We pride ourselves on delivering the best customer service experience, and we live true to our name of being your Friendly, Neighbourhood Pharmacy.

When Pam opened this Pharmacy in 2011, her goal was to increase the availability of Pharmacist services in our community. We are proud to be able to provide a full menu of Pharmacist services that range from Prescription Refills to prescribing for many common ailments to injections and immunizations. As Bridgewater's newest pharmacy, Pam Kennedy and her team have been delivering pharmacy services to our community for more than 10 years. We are conveniently located in the Medical Arts Building directly beside the hospital.

Prescription Refills

Renewals of most prescription medications for up to 6 months after assessment by a Pharmacist

Prescribing Services

We can assess & prescribe for the following:

•Bladder Infections in Women
•Lyme Disease Prevention After Tick Bite
•Antiviral Treatment of Shingles
•Contraception

Immunization, Vaccines, & Other Injections

•Injection of many vaccines, including COVID-19, flu, meningitis, pneumonia, shingles, Gardasil for HPV

•Prescribing and injection of travel vaccines, including Hepatitis A & B, and typhoid

Accessible mental health support and navigation through pharmacy to help Nova Scotians living with mental illness & substance use disorders in support of improved health & wellbeing.

Medication Reviews

One-on-one appointments with our Pharmacist to discuss your medical conditions, medications, lab tests and questions or concerns you have. Receive a detailed medication list with the purpose of each drug and how to use it. We work with you and your healthcare provider to find solutions to medication concerns.

OAMT

Opioid-agonist Maintenance Treatment (OAMT) refers to the use of methadone or buprenorphine to assist patients in overcoming opioid dependency.  Combined with counselling and other supports, OAMT is regarded as the gold standard in opioid-dependence treatment.
